Who has a floor layout?

Me, that is until I can build a new one. Anyone else?

Sure Joe,

My five-year old and I run the “Philadelphia and Western” in our spare bedroom. So far we have interconnected 042 and 031 loops and an inside siding. There’s a block signal controlled by a 153ir, a 125 whistle station, an MPC era illuminated passenger platform, some MTH yard lights, an old tinplate pratt-type bridge and a home made water tower. Track is mostly Lionel tubular with 022 switches.

We run postwar through MPC era engines, freight cars, and 027 passenger streamliners. We also have some K-line RDCs and a moder Lionel Glacier Freight set. All this sits on a cheap “Lowes” brown/green area rug with a lot of wires strewn about. Power is provided by a Lionel LW and some block switches.

In the words of Jim Coffey “Boy, we got fun commin’ down the line!”
“You ain’t seen nothin’ - hold on to your seats in the wonderful world of trains!”

Regards,
Old 2037

I used to have one in my dining room just to run my scale locos until I built my current 0-54 minimum curve layout. Use to drive my wife buggy!

i have a floor layout until i (maybe) move into our new house. my layout changes every time there is room on the floor [:D]

In addition to my large layout I have an O27 dogbone, about 10’ long, on our TV room floor for the grandaughters. Nothing like watching the news to the sound of a Railsound Hudson chugging along.
