Who made them? The seller said they were Ambroid kits. I can not find any such ore cars by Ambroid. These are all wood. and clearly assembled by a craftsman.

Possibly a Main Line Models kit. They made some well detailed wood kits.
It’s a nice find.
It’s very similar to a Gould/Tichy Trains ore car.
Whoever built it was patient. Tiny wood parts require a steady hand.
After digging through ho seeker. I am thinking they might be scratchbuilt.
The trucks are central valley.
Might be a Campbell car before they got out of the car buisness.
