Who’s make RR decials?? My local sign shop doesnt do them…Need to have new decials made for my T-1 duplex…

www.microscale.com They have about anything you can imagine.

Hope this helps.

Try www.mgdecals.com and www.greatdecals.com. Great selection of primarily steam era freight, loco, and passenger car decals. Others will need to help you with diesel era.

Repeat after me. Google is my friend; Google is my friend.

CHAMP DECALS

Wayne

going to call them tomarrow… alittle pricey but if there decial is like BLI T-1 .I proubley get them… Bowser is 8.00 plus a 9.00 for shipping!..

Yeah, I was surprised at the prices for the T-1 sets, but I’m sure that they’d be complete and as true-to-prototype as possible.

They show lettering in either bronze/gold or Dulux gold for Pennsy steam locos with either short, medium, or long tenders at $3.00 per set, plus a steam loco data set at $5.50. They also offer PRR T-1 experimental lettering, admittedly expensive at $22.00 per set, or the T-1 production lettering at $15.00.

I recently used Champ decals to letter three of these rebuilt Red Caboose X-29 boxcars and the lettering in their sets was very complete.

Wayne

the bowser set wasnt complete… the BLI version T-1 had the builders plack and some other on the side of the boiler and the tender has numbers at the back end of it…oh where you decials water slide or vinyl?

Champ decals are the water-slide type.

Actually the form of the word he was looking for is “they’re,” the contraction of “they are.” A spell checker usually won’t catch that.

I was surprised you didn’t point out that “decal” does not contain an “I” even though you spelled it right.

Or that plaque isn’t spelled ‘plack’.

good grief, Joe is looking for decals and we are picking on spelling (typos). Go with either Microscale if they have the right set, or pay the piper and get the set from Bowser. Champ and Herald King both use a pretty thick decal film that is hard to hide. I prefer Microscale when they have what I want. Cheers MIke

I think the point that some of us were trying to make is that, while we all have typos, check your posts before clicking the “Post” button for typos, spelling problems and basic grammar. Since this is a written form of communication these things can be critical to getting your question understood and answered. There is a difference between 'there" “their” and “they’re.” Misuse of especially the last two can lead to different interpretations of a person’s post and different answers. Another example is someone else’s post about “soddering.” When I first saw the subject line I thought “what the heck is soddering?” Again, that’s not a typo, that’s a misspelling of the primary subject. How about doing a little research first?

The other points being made are that instead of this forum being the first place to come and ask such an elementary question, spend (invest) a little time searching the internet for what you’re (not your) looking for. You’d be surprised what you might find. You then would be able tp pose the question along the lines of “I’ve checked XYZ’s website and they don’t make it, does any know of a mfg’er that does make ABC decals?”

The last point is if you want something specific like accurate decals and someone replies with a source or solution, don’t go complaining about the cost. If you want it done right, then, as said, pay the piper or be happy with a 2nd rate job.

Well said! [swg]

So silver pilot you don’t want to find a deal or save a little money?Boy you must have a really fat wallet…If I can find ones that are not that costly then I will… But if I cant then I have to pay a little bit more money on them then…why pay 9.00 for shipping, when it only cost 1.00-1.50 to ship them in a envelope…??That’s what bowser charges…plus .Bowser set doesn’t give you all what on the T-1…Mike pay attention too…you’ll see when you get your T-1 too…no boiler tags or tender tags…I’m going to check with champ decals… for 15.00 it better be a complete set, everything that’s on the T-1…like BLI …so anyone wants to pick on my spelling let me pick your trains on your paint jobs then…since I do auto painting for a living for 28+years…we all are not perfect… if we were,we wouldn’t need there web site’s then…

Josey,

You’re welcome to pick on my paint jobs. Just remember paint cars is different than paint models. Where would you like me to post the pictures?? Will you do the same and allow others to pick on your trains and paint jobs?? I’m game if you are.

And I agree with this, too, although I’d revise it to simply “we are not perfect”. Now, let’s get back to trains. [swg]

Josey, contact Champ by 'phone - they should be able to give you a rundown of what’s in their T-1 set. I’ve always found them to be helpful, and they’re very prompt with shipping, too.
