Who makes these working-style light poles?

The kind I’m going to try and describe is as follows: You know the kind that is basically an old wooden telephone pole with a light attached near the top, and it usually has a glass fixture (not a globe) around the bulb. These typically are in feed lots, old salvage yards, etc.

I’m desperately looking for some and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Alco,

Are you looking for something like this?

That would be them!!!

Alco,

Either click on the following link, or the web link in my signature:

Exterior Light poles

There’s both an online and “printable” diagram, step-by-step tutorial and supply list for making either of the single- or double-light Light poles. I use 1.5V/30mA bulbs and power them using a 1.5V wall transformer.

The cost:

  • Single-light Light pole: ~$1.80
  • Double-light Light pole ~$3.25
Anyhow, all the information and instructions are there for you to put these together. It really adds a whole new dimension to the layout. [:)]

Alco, I hope that helps…
