WHOOPS ALMOST FORGOT................

Sorry to bust your bubble upchuck…but even with the warranty papers, nothing bought on ebay from an individual seller is covered…only from a recognized dealer…thats why they ask where you got the loco on the warranty paper.

You could lie and say you got it at a LHS, but when they check the s.n. they’re gonna know you lied.

You might take it in and let the LHS look at it and see if it’s worth fixing and let them do it, but Bachmann won’t fix it free.

I would contact Bachmann and explain the situation, being completely honest. Ask them if they’ll still “stand by their product.” Use that exact phrase. It’s hard for them to say, “No, we don’t stand by our product.”

Model Railroading just isn’t full of greedy venture-capitalist types who are trying to squeeze every dollar out of every sale. Mostly, MR type companies are really interested in the hobby, and keeping customers satisfied is important to them. Besides, it’s a small market, and reputation is very important for future sales.

Yep, you’re much too smart for that.

NO, it’s NOT, If you read the “warranty” "paper"s that you have, you would see that the lifetime warrany applies to the Original Purchaser only, and only if the warranty card was sent in within TEN DAYS of original purchase. otherwise a copy of the ORIGINAL purchase reciept from an aurthorized dealer will be required, and no, eBay doesn’t count, unless from qualified store front dealer.

In other words, your S.O.L.! NO warranty!!

P.S. stop sending me P.M.s I will not reply!!
