Who's been in the magizine?

Just wondering if anyone, I’m sure there is, has had their layout in Classic Toy Trains. I certainly have not, but it is one of my lifes ambitions to get in. Got to build a bigger layout first.

Actually, i think the magazine is looking for small, detailed layouts to feature. Bigger isn’t always better…at least thats what my better half says[:-^]

[bow]So true, so true… according to my Mrs. too.[bow]

I know Perry who posts in Sunday Photo Fun often has been in the magazine, his is a gorgeous detailed layout and scenery . I believe Roger B was also in CTT and Roy McClellan was in the article about the display layouts he has worked on. I am sure there are others too. I personally think Frank53’s layout ought to be in there. Check out it out at http://www.lionellines.net

Mitch

Frank53’s layout will be eventually. But he has a way to go before his layout is finished.

2 layout features; eventually want to do more but gotta get to know the new editor first

They have a batch of photos of my layout that a photog that contacted me for a shoot submitted. CTT contacted me once to discuss the layout but I didn’t have a set of the “proofs”, they sent me copies of the photos they were interested in but never got back to me a second time.

The Chief was on the cover a few issues back…

Jim

No layout coverage but three by-lines.

I’ve always been told it’s now how deeply you plow the row but how long you can stay in the field. Jake

Now thats funny right there!

which issue was chief in i want to see!

Stay tuned. I have some stuff coming up.

So do I, Dennis. Due this fall or winter.

Zeke- Chief was in a Bass Boat on the Front Cover of CTT. I think it was Neil B. who let us know about it.[;)][;)][:P][:o)] The Chief fell in the Water & Bob K Came to his rescue. All this happened while the Chief was on one of his legendary visits to Wisconsin.[;)][:-^][:P][:o)] Take Care.

Our own ‘cheapclassics’ Mike Conley has also had more than a few articles.

I had a letter to the editor in Model Railroader and I was mentioned in a CTT editorial - do those count?

Just made the NEWS section in the July 2007 issue CTT … “Old King Coal goes on the road”.

Best regards in trains,

Dave

OKC - Wow, David, that’s some portable display! The CTT pics don’t do it justice though. Could you kindly post some pics (maybe on Sunday photo fun…)

Oh, and BTW—>[#welcome]

Hey fifedog … Thanks for your post. Sorry for the delay in getting back, as I have been running freight at 2 Canada Day celebration events today, and just got home. I’ll try to post some pics tomorrow, (after I figure out the black magic in photo posting).

Regards … in trains,

Dave

Happy Canada Day! (While there’s still a little of it left.)

We were very lucky on Dominion Day (that’s what they called it then) in 1959. While driving the Alaska Highway, we hit a rock and damaged our suspension. The only mechanic in the next little town was Quebecois and only too happy to work on the holiday to make a political point!

Oh i really have to see this…lol

One day i will be in the magizine…

We will give it a whirl with some pics … I’m a “greenhorn” at photo posting. Hope this works.
