Why so much?

I’ve noticed that lumber loads such Jaeger and Grand Central Gems are selling for outrageous prices. Grand Central Gems asks $20.00 for a small package of stamped wood. Recently an Ebay auction for some partially completed, paper wrapped wood went for over $127.00. What’s up with this? I’m sure it can’t be a reflection of real wood prices! [%-)]

Throw it out there and somebody will buy it. As P.T. Barnum said, there’s a sucker born every minute.

That’s why I try to build my own loads. [:D]

When the spotted owl BS was going on we paid 90 PER SHEET of Plywood out of the Northwest, granted it was only one time we did it till we started getting it closer to us. So yeah your paying prototypical prices till you find a better deal ( we got ours from that point on from Arkansas and NC till the prices went back to normal ) So blame it on the spotted whatever and look for a better bargin or like posted Start your own lumber company, wrap your own and sell em cheaper lol.

That’s a very true statement there Jeffrey. I’ve seen it with my own eyes…

And like you said dragenrider, I build things like that for myself. I also make my own pipe loads, log loads, canvas covered loads, scrap metal loads, etc. I only buy what I absolutely have to!.

Tracklayer - the tight wad…
