Will spraypaint adhere to shellac?

I’m doing a Plymouth in 7/8n2 and was gonna seal the wood in shellac and then spraypaint.

Shellac may react to topcoats of laquer or solvent paints. Just use Deft (laquer) or clear acrylic to seal.

Back in Cub Scouts/ Webelo leader, I had the kids seal their pinewood derby cars w/ Deft and they could spray paint w/ any topcoat and never had any problems. Some, even did 2 stage acyrlic enamel jobs (Dad must have helped on these).
