With all the work going on between New Haven, CT and Springfield, Mass., will there be a one seat ride from either NY Penn or GCT?
This will be a purely bi=state operation, not Metro North nor Amtrak, like Shore Line East. Probably across-the-platform transfer to Metro North at the main New Haven Station. Through service would compete with Amtrak. Will be interesting to see if Amtrak drops its own shuttles in this service and just keeps the few through trains it now runs. (Two each way? The Vermonter and one other?)
