My impression is that the first is almost too new for your era, and the second almost too old, but either would be okay.
I’m no expert, but thinking logically I would believe that the carne would still be in use in a junkyard. After all they don’t usually get the newest of stuff in the junk business. I would maybe detail it out to make it look like it has been repaired several times maybe. Just a thought.
I have a friend who is really into old tractors and heavy equipment. I sent him a pic of the loader t osee if he could “guess the date”. I’ll let you know what he says. I might help, might not.
PS. I really like the crane.
Steve
I meant Crane, and “It” might help. Not I might help. Sounded a little buttholian.
I should pick up proofreading as a hobby.[banghead]
Sorry.

Hello I like the idea of repairing the crane to make it fit in. I will use the crane to load gons and thought the loader would be good for moving and making piles. If the loader is not right can someone post some pics of something that might work. Its a small yard so It wont need anything to big. Thanks Frank
Steve thanks for checking for me.
Sir,
My friend studied this for a while and said that the front end loader would most probably be '46 or later, the reason was the hydraulics. He said that the bucket on most loaders prior to '46 were cable operated.
So now you have at least two opinions.
I hope I was helpful. I try to be. [swg]

The tractor crawler looks very similar to an International trac tractor that was manufactured during the late 1930s and 1940s so I would say yes it would work.
I have a link to some O scale stuff and a pic of the prototype. I’d just post the pic, but I don’t want to step on the toes of the owner of the site or the pics, so: http://www.btsrr.com/bts8600.htm
I think this would be in the correct era.
BTW thanks. I learned a lot from this.
I didn’t know they used cables on loader blades etc. before hydraulics. [:)]
Best regards,
Steve
Hello that is a cool site. Yep that will work it just needs a bucket and some cable. I think I can make them. The same site I posted as them in ho to. well it look like I have my work cutout for me. Thanks for the help Frank
