I think we discussed yesterday about every transformer wattage rating there was along with using them with Williams engines. One last possibility was suggested on another fourm. Has anyone used Lionels Cab 1 and TPC 300/400 for conventional control of Williams engines while still wired as made by Williams. They say with the TPC you can get the volts down to 1.5V which seems like it should make the engine crawl. Anyone with experience using this setup? Thanks
Have you tried using a rheostat(variable resistor) sold at Radio Shack, should be rated for 9 amps or higher. You wire this in series on the positive wire side from the transformer to the track and this gives you more voltage control without the use of electronic circuit boards or TMCC or DCS systems.
