I see some of you have run Williams trains. I have always used Lionel. Not familiar with their contol unit. The 6 amp reversing board??? Can you run two or three Williams diesels together or do you have to “strap” them to one control unit? I have some older Lionel diesels that I’ve “strapped” to one E unit to make a strong pulling train. Give me an education on Williams and how they operate. Thanks
ChiefEagles:
The 6 amp reverse board is just a fancy name, just think of it as a good 'ole “E” unit in the old LIONEL E units from the 50’s…only MORE reliable!!
You can run a whole string of “poered” units together, if you want to. All WILLIAMS engines “start” in “forward”, then like any other engine, can be sequenced through nuetral-reverse-neutral-forward phases.
All WILLIAMS engines have dual motors with flywheels, traction tires. I would not think you would need more than 2 engines to pull ANY length cocnsist with Williams engines.
If you need anything, email me!
Thanks for the reply. I emailed you.
