I print these items on clear acetate, and glue the printed side to another piece of clear acetate and put into the window frame. Signs are glued to the side of a building. If you like them feel free to download and use as needed
If you care to donate, send me your pic and I’ll add to this album
The acetate I use is found at Office Depot, in the Avery labels section. It can be used in both laser printers and ink jet. It has a “smooth” side and a “rough” side. Print on the rough side. Ink jet takes about 10~15 minutes to “cure”, of course color laser is insta-ready. I don’t have a pakage or I would give you the Avery item number, sorry.
When attaching the finished product, I use Elmer’s Craft Spray Glue. It will not make the colors run like most other adhesives. After printing I cut out the “artwork” and a piece of clear slightly larger than I want. Spray the “ink side” of the “artwork” and let it setup a bit then attach the second piece. I let them set for about 2+ hours then trim to size with razor blade and straight edge.
I amend the previous post. Went by O.D. today to pick up some more for window decorations (Easter) and found they no longer carried the “Avery” transparencies. They did have “Great White” transparencies. SWMBO reminded me that we had been using this brand for the past two years. She had the old packages to prove her point.
Every year we (the wife) select photos from the previous year (or years ago) to print on the transparencies and decorate the windows for each of the holidays. We started this “tradition” some 20 plus years ago using regular copiers (Xerox) for b/w prints.
