Good segment David. Besides the great modeling tips I’m grateful that you share product types, names and thier applications with us. That eliminates a lot of wasted time and money trying out materials that just don’t work so well. I agree that Sculptamold is a modelers best friend. Thanks
Hi! I am enjoying this series very much. I do have a question though. Why didn’t you just lay the track directly on the plywood rather than use the homasote if you didn’t want such a high profile with the roadbed?
Yes I would like to see the electrical installed on the south bound rail project I think that would be very .informative I have been following this project since the start and let down that you are skipping over the really inportant stuff.
David, why will ballast crack or crumble after drying, is it to much or not enough glue or alcohol? Will the diamond cause any electrical issues with locomotives?

Why don’t you use N scale roadbed? It’s not that hard.
It would be nice to include prices for items that are being used as some of us have limited budgets, and seeing how much something costs can change our desire to use the products.
David, I especially liked the quick explanation about constructing flat surfaces. I understand and appreciate you showing the various materials that can be used. Is the foam material you used easier to cut than the foam core board you can purchase from places like Michael’s, etc, or is this simply an alternative material to use?
ever try adding acrylic color to your molding plaster before you add it to the layout project , you won’t end up with the bright white. Then just high light after, if you need it , then just add the woodland scenic after it dries. If you should have to cut out a piece of scenery or scar it in any way there is color thru and thru, no touch up.
