I am looking for a wireless walk around control for use with a classic ( non DCC ) power pack. Living over here in Europe means I need one where I can replace the power pack to a 220 V one and shopping around for a used one at swap meets is also not an option. Do you have a suggestion what to use?

I don’t know about the 220 volt situation you have where you live, I’m sure others who live in similar areas will respond to help you out there.
