Is there any way to wire an atlas snap switch to work with a toggle switch? I dont’t want to replace all my switches or controllers.
The answer is Yes, but you need another push button momentary on switch to go with the toggle switch. The reason is that if you leave the power connected you will burn out the Atlas switch. By using the momentary on push button you avoid this problem. Good Luck - Ed
Yes. I figured out that much after the plastic on a switch began to melt but how would you wire it to the toggle switch? Would it be the same as a turnaround?
What I use is a switch from Radio Shack. This is a momentary pushbutton (normally open) part# 275-1547c. They come in a 4 pack with 2 black buttons and 2 red buttons. I forget the price, but it was not too bad. The switch is used with a track diagram, A wire comes from the power source. In one side of the pushbutton and goes through the switch, from there it goes to the switch machine. This circuit is for one side of the track switch/turnout. Any question just ask
