My friend and I have just completed the trackwork on a new and fairly large layout…40 RCS switches,approx.1500’ of track,750’ of table space…we now begin the phase we are least comfortable with-wiring…we intend to install command and control, but because we have so many older postwar engines,we want to block the mainlines and sidings…we have istalled insulating plastic pins in strategic locations and intend to use lighted ,pushbutton DPDT switches to control the blocks…is this sound wisdom?..can we use SPST momentary switches to control the RCS switches?..woulld SPST pushbuttons control the blocks?..how would we install relays in the blocked mainlines to allow 2 trains to run continuously on the same ,large loop?also…we’ve found SPST pushbutton switches(both momentary and continuous)at our local Radio Shack, but they don’t carry the DPDT lighted pushbutton switches…where could we get a supply of these?
