wiring diagrams into photobucket

I have a wiring diagram that I want to put in photobucket. I have a hard copy and a scanner, I scanned it into a folder , but I can’t seem to get photobucket to see it. could someone please help me.

thanx CCG

  1. What file format do you have your diagram in?

  2. When you write “I can’t seem to get photobucket to see it”, what do you mean?

I drew the diagram in autosketch. so it is saved as a autosketch file (.skd.). I printed a hard copy. Can I scan it into photobucket or do I have to save in a file format. When I go into photobucket and try to upload it, I open the folder that it is in but photobucket does not list that file.

You need to have a picture to upload to photobucket. I.e a file in some picture format (e.g. jpg).

I assume that when you “scanned it into a folder”, you got a picture file of some kind from your scanner?

I also assume that you from autosketch most likely will have a File | Save As or File | Export option to save the sketch as some image file format.

And that if everything else fails, that you can start autosketch, load your file, resize your image until everything is shown on screen, and then press Alt+PrtScr to make a copy of the screen image, then start e.g Microsoft Paint and paste the screen image into paint (Edit | Paste) and save it as an image file.

Open the file in autosketch. It should have a “Save As” option. Save the file in jpeg (jpg) format, then Photobucket should be able to see it. As it is now, Photobucket can’t find it, because it’s in a format it doesn’t recognize.

Thanx all I got it

So where’s the wiring diagram? [:-^]

You say that “You got it to Photobucket”, but do you know how to transfer a diagram from Photobucket to Trains.com/forums ? Below each Thumbnail on Photobucket there will be several options. Click on the IMG option Momentarily, the word “Copied” will appear. To be sure, go to the Edit in the upper left corner of the screen. Click on Copy. Go to the Trains.com/forum, and after typing in the Text that you want with your photo, click on ctrlV (or Paste) and the lengthy code for your diagram will appear below the text. Scroll down to Post and click on it. Your Text and Diagram should then appear on the Thread. To make additions or corrections to a Posted photo and/or text, click on More Above the text and photo. Click on “Edit” in the box. Make your corrections and then rePost. Bob Hahn
