Does anyone know where I can get a good illustrated article on wiring LEDS with resistors added to them?

If you go to Google and type “wiring LED resistor”, you will be overwhelmed with good articles and illustrations.
Or search the forum, it’s been posted hundreds of times, for various uses: with a DCC decoder, for coach lighting, for structure lighting, etc.

Using one LED and one resistor, measured with 12.2 VDC supply using 20 ma max current LED’s. Values will vary some depending on actual DC supply value. Brightness will be a little different. Many use the 1000 ohm resistor.
Resistor Current
1000 ohm 9.0ma
750 ohm 12.45ma
680 ohm 13.12ma
510 ohm 16.25ma

Look at the below site for Lighting in DCC. Lots of good info and links. Store the link in Favorites folder as there are many who have no idea on how to search the 'Net for info. You may be some help in the future.

Randy we don’t have the POS anymore. Did not work worth a darn anyway. Type in Dirt Roads and ever thing with the word dirt or roads would come up.

It’s still here, on the left side. What’s gone is the magazine article index.
There are some tricks to reliable searching on any search engine. If you want the specific subject of dirt roads and not every post with dirt and roads in them, you need to search for “dirt roads” with the quotes.
