A few years ago an article appeared describing how to wire an activation button to power up the MTH Gas station, Fire Station, Mel’s Diner, etc using an activation button and rotating selector. Any idea where I can find this article?

Seems like you would wire the power and activation switch to the center terminal on the rotary switch and the accessories to the various contacts around the switch.
Doing this would allow the accessory that the rotary switch has selected to work. The rest of the accessories would be off.
