Hello to everyone, I’m new to this forum and also just recently started out in moderl railroading-HO and I love it. Anyways can someone tell me what is a bus bar. I read this somewhere on a DCC wiring site. Im now running DC but interested in DCC. Thanks
The simplest answer in layman’s language is that it is the two main wires that feed current to your layout or sections of your layout. Feeders to the track and turnout frogs connect to the bus. It serves the same purpose in DCC as in DC wiring.
When looking through those DCC sites, also note the guage of wire recommended for the bus, it is usually a heavier wire(lower number). The feeder wires that come off of it are a lighter guage (higher number).
