I use to carry my bicycle over a pair of tracks in Northampton before Amtrak was rerouted through a few miles North along with many others until a rail trail tunnel was built under the mainline.

Trespasser was struck.
She pushed her grand daugher out of the way.Her grandaughter tried to grab her but the loco hit her hand. Grand mother thrown a hundred feet. Loco doing fifty mph at that point, normal speed.
There is a tunnel not to far away but opened only for school hours. Some school kids still cross here.
