Here we go again, some stupid woman who claims she didn’t know it was dangerous to walk on railway tracks. She got hit, (not severe) and now is suing NS for $30,000+. She claims it is NS’s fault because since there were no signs saying trains travel on the tracks she though it was safe! STUPID, STUPID, STUPID!!! Money scam!!!
Some people are just plain stupid…I can prove this because she is only sueing for 30K, and not 3M…
I love her aurgument, its like saying since there were no cars on the highway, it was OK to walk down the center of it.
I agree, Stupid. Her court costs will be higher than 30K!
Aren’t the railroad’s tracks private property? Therefore this case should not go anywhere since she was trespassing in the first place.
Not only is she stupid, so is the money grubbing lawyer who convinced her to sue the railroad because they should have known she was a dummy and would walk down the tracks. I for one am getting sick and tired of it always being somebody elses fault when someone does something idiotic. Duh! What happened to being responsible for your own actions?
Doesn’t matter…some ambulance chaser probably got her to sign up for his services before she was discharged from the hospital. Probably the same guys that advertise on TV fishing for new clients. (and why lawyers are no longer part of a profession and may not even be a trade for much longer IMHO)
The ambulance chaser is probably angling for the “attractive nuisance” clause.
[:(!][:(!][:(!]
They wrote a law against it several years ago…
Another one who thinks she’s high and mighty suing the railroad… Sheesh! When will people learn?[:(!]
I agree 100%. Although this idiot would then try to say there were not any “no trespassing” signs posted every 100 feet. What a complete waste of everyone’s time![V]
Speaking as a UK driver (engineer)here: What does she want us to do, swerve out of her way!!!
She’s lucky not to have been killed, why push her luck by trying to scam money
[(-D]…Of course you know the NS is not gona fall for this one! What is going through people’s heads now a day’s?
They will laugh this lawsuit right off it’s track.
HAW HAW HAW HAW.
$ 30,000 for a lawsuit against a railroad. . . Yeah right, I know my share of personal injury (that’s the nice name for an ambulance chaser) lawyers that would call that suit a waste of their time and not to mention the time the bench and jury. According to my “friends” in the trial bar, That amount isn’t worth even talking about much less going to the trouble of a lawsuit.[#dots]
YEA… . .this woman needs a serious reality check. If she dosen’t know that it’s very dangerous to walk on the tracks she must be stupid. Walking the tracks is even dangerous for railroad employees.
#1 Don’t walk on tracks (they’re privite property, u never know which direction a train might be comming, u don’t know how fast it’s comming)
#2 If u do decide to break the rules and walk on the tracks anything that happens to u on them is ur falt.
#3 TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR OWN ACTIONS
#4 Remeber trains can’t stop for u, u stop for trains. They allways have the right of way when it comes to grade Xings. That is why the FRA and railroads have these laws to protect the community. But I guess she doesn’t understand that.
she’s stupid like a [censored]
kevin
It is all based on the time proven US legal system principal…
Sue deep pockets…they will pay you something, just to make it go away. Go away without ever bringing the merits of the suit to the light of a day in court.
Have you ever met my friend Senica?
