I was looking for a few more military vans to add to my layout and I found one on eBay.com
I bid on it and won it for $3.98 + 2.60 S+H, not a bad deal I’d say, but that is not why this will be the best eBay auction for a very long time too come.
When the van arrived in the mail today there was a note in an envelope taped to the outside of the box…Hummm, shipping bill of laden I thought…nope!
This is a part of the note inside,
“Jess I sent along a few other things for your layout, if you don’t want them you can toss em”.
Now what was in the packing below the starch biodegradable peanuts , "Hey did you know if you hold one to your toung that they dissolve…they do, that is what they are made to do, I could throw them out in my yard and after the first rain they would be gone, dissolved…oh about the toung thing…er, well, that will wait for another time.
back to my story, there were 3 police cars from 3 different departments and these little buggers are highly detailed, they were still in their plastic cube type boxes with older price stickers that had each cop car at $11.99 and a cement truck at $14.50 and he sent these 4 extra vehicles FREE…I can’t believe my luck.
I had to drop him a line after the auction to let him know because of an incident here at home I’d be two days behind on sending out the payment, he wrote back that he was sending the van out anyway…BEFORE I paid the man…woweeee, now that is one motivated eBay seller…LOL!
I have since learned his name is Carl and I’d like to thank Carl here, I did write him a big email of my gratitude but I wanted to mention him here because I’ve read many eBay night mare stories here in the past, so I wanted to share the nicer side of eBay.
Carl, where ever you are, I hope your God is watching over you because I asked mine if he would.
thanks, you restored my faith in the good will of mankind.
Jess Red Horse.
