I was given this kit recently and while I certainly am a Woodland Scenics fan as far as their vehicles go, I am not a fan of their modular units.

While there is lot of detail to add to this kit resulting in a reasonably good looking model I would much rather tackle a typical building kit.

he Scenics PreFab buildings are the kit like version of some of their prebuilts.

I myself would rather opt for a more difficult kit.

The scenics buildings will take a great deal of very accurate masking and a few days of time for the painting.

Being it’s taking me forever to build my layout,I thought i might speed things up by getting some pre-fabs and build-ups. I got a Walthers and WS build up. The look ok, but difficult to detail the interior. I got a WS pre-fab which is 4 assembled walls and parts. I left that one alone. I went back to kits,DPM,Walthers and some others and will eventually get it done…that’s what the hobby is all about.
