What do you do with some ugly colored building’s
I had four Piko building’s But I needed a short row of stores SOOOO…
After cutting them up
Then I added a new store front
and some door’s to the rear Apartments
Next project… Delta Northern’s Dinning Car ( Delta View )

I see you been doing a little work[:)]! What would you call the building you made? Like the cars too[tup]. I wish I had the time/money to start my garden railway…- Peter
Start small. Even a temporary loop on the grass is better than no layout. After my big D I had my ‘garden railway’ on an old diningroom table in a 2nd floor apartment.
Very nice building! These are versital kits when you think of them as a kit of parts.
I agree, all you need is a small patch of ground to start, this is only 5’ x 9’.
I am planning my railroad in stages with the 1st to be small, about the same size as yours Vic, to make it easier on me, but the economy is not helping and trying out for my school’s golf team isn’t either, but each week I’m getting closer and I think I’ll be able to finish the 1st stage by the deadline for the small railroad contest. Dave, did you use the glue you shared with us earlier to assemble those bashes? - Peter
Of couse, the only exception being I used rattel can adhesive fon the sandpaper I used on the big roof section. Comeing soon is what I’m doing with the left-overs. BTW Peter, I purchased the four buildings for $19.95 each back in 97 ( I think ) now they are going for $59.95Each.

They look familiar, and that’s what the first batch of mine cost… They also make nice ‘company houses’ if you gable the false front.
If you watch, you can sometimes get the stores and school/church off feebay fairly reasonably… the others (house, train station, fire station, water tank), ouch!
Also watch for Train Shows. At this years BTS in Ontario, I think it was “Ridge Road Station” had them “Set of 4 for $100.” Makes them a whole lot more affordable. I picked up a set myself.
You can usually find them online for $34-35 each ($42 for the station) plus shipping… I saw that Ridge Road, and Wholesale have them listed for that… I need to get about 3 more eventually

All project’s requiring painting are on HOLD till I buy a suitable mask, since I just spent 3 days in the hospitial due too much paint dust, blowing sand,grass mowing and other air polutents for the past two week’s.

My Doctor gave me the OK to resume painting as long as I ware a mask SOOOO more progress will be made today. Already painted Dinnig car seat’s left over roof parts with left over sid’es and end’s new door way added almost ready for finnal assambly.

Top View of Dining Car ( Delta View ) Still need’s some tables, pot belly stove and W/C added. I have NO plan’s for the kitchen area. (left side ) It work’s out to a 32 seat diner. and will only be used at the head end after the crew / baggage car then baggage car. followed by three coach’s
