Thank God for sons. We got our new camera and here’s my progress so far on my new layout! My son, like all kids, are good at this computer stuff. I’m glad I’m a fast learner. This is proof that the forum is a great learning tool. Thanks to all!
qqqman,
Looking great! I like layouts with tubular track (mine is also). Track plan looks interesting also.
Keep the photos coming!

Roy
What a great start you have. I like the way that your mountains are going to blend into the background.
Thanks Roy,
The plan is 2 separate routes with 2 reverse loops on each route connected by an interchange track. The outside route stays outside and goes up and back down the same way because of the reverse loop The inside is like a 3 leaf clover using the 2 reverse loops and a 90’ crossover. Gotta love the tube track and especially the non-derailing switches for the reverse loops!!
Thanks Spankybird,
Credit fot the backdrop idea goes to Windy Urtnowski in The Nov. 05 CTT issue showing his attic layout. As soon as I saw the backdrop, I just knew it was what I liked! Great Idea!
qqqman,
I guessing the Boston & Maine Alco diesel is a custom paint job? It looks good, whoever did it.
George
Yes, George it’ an old Lionel RS3 painted by George the Fireman from Boston’s north shore. He also did the NH S2 switcher, formally a K-Line NYC S2.
Love your bridges. The placement is similar to something I have done although with different combinations. It adds depth to the layout.Great job.You can check my URL to see mine.
Ed
