Wow... anyone see this????

Man… this is insane! Anyone see these awesome G scale trains on eBay… not for the faint of hert, or should I say “wallet”

I have now. What craftsmanship!

Wow, you certainly love Ebay.

I’ve seen stuff like that done in “0”.

Highly interesting, but before I would buy it, I’d want to know what kind of drives for future repair needs.

And, where to get spoked drivers.

But, hey, I look for those kind of things

I’ll stick with Bachmann, thanks.

Yeah, they been trying to sell that for over a month or so now, I don’t even like the looks of the truck design for the rolling stock, personally I thought it looked toyish/cheap, the first time I looked at it, and thought a person would have to be insane to pay that much for this. I guess they are basing their asking price on the fact that it is made of brass, you know, cost of metals recently—Aristo’s track deal…/scam…who “really” knows about that, TOO…

The 2-8-0 in the first two shots has the cowcatcher bent back under it’s nose, and would you really see single sprung trucks like these cars have. Even though the caboose is my road of choice,----- NO WAY, Jose’…

I’m rather fond of the gold paint on the Bachmann/Delton couplers. Nice touch…

Hey, Kev, when you advertise as hand-crafted brass you need to dothose kind of things.

Wonder how much steel is so painted…

Nice price TOO…

Looks impressive from a distance but the details let it down in the closeups, what gauge is it as it looks wider than 45mm? It may be handcrafted but so is a lot of G stuff as it’s cheaper than buying it! at that price I’d be wanting Museum quality and fully painted and detailed.
Then I’d still pass as way over budget!

hmm… they are very nice, well done, clearly a “labor of love”… but nothing extraoridinary.

actually, they are a bit simple and crude in the detail department…

there are G-scale plastic models being scratchbuilt that are MUCH more detailed.

so yeah…very nice and all, but not super-amazing…detail is actually quite lacking IMO compared to other Large Scale models.
