Today, I found a new! At Lisle, at around 6:00PM today, (June 29, 2006.) I saw a BNSF D-9, a CN SD75I, I think, and an old ICE SD45, #308, or 306. I forgot. I will have pictures up soon. It was worth the wait. I lost count of METRA’s after 5.
Sorry, the IC&E number is 363
man… an SD45. i envy you. those are awesome locomotives
Where’d you catch 363?
Oh! Lisle! It helps to read your post [banghead][#wstupid]
A few SD45’s I’ve seen
Gotta love those 45’s in any configuration, but especially the F units.
Gotta love that UP 2751, even twice!!! [;)] I agree, F45s and FP45s are the best, too bad the big fleets are gone [:(]
Hmmm…when did BNSF start buying Cat Bulldozers to pull trains with? He he he…sorry, couldn’t resist! [:p][}:)][;)]
Kinda funny you mention that Chris, I was in Madison, WI the other day, and spotted a Cat “Railworks” piece of machinery… Couldn’t tell ya what it was though! Probably not a D-9, it was working on a branchline…[:o)]
Sorry about the latness of posting the photos. I have had alot on my plate lately. Here are the many METRA’s. All rejected from railpictures.net for some reason or the other.
Their were also some really cool and rare cars on the freight train, but I really don’t feel like uploading those to rrpicturearchives.net right now.
I see that the automated horn system is in this picture. what town was that taken in?
Hey! Those SD70M radiators match up pretty nice with the SD45 radiators!!! [:D]
Those units came thru Eola eastbound last night at about 5:30 p.m. Those of us watching had our view obscured by a freight movement into the east yard.
That was in Ames, IA
I hate those automatic horns. I’d rather hear the natural sounds of the railroad.
Thanks, I was thinking that that picture was taken in Vernon Hills because of that thing, and then thought, wow that is rare.
The horn is ok. It has a unique sound I think.
