WP in the Canyon...

UP 1983, the WP heritage unit, leads a special made up of WP Railroad Museum equipment from Portola, California to Roseville, California. Captured here at Pulga, California. The train will spend the night in Roseville, then make the trip north to Dunsmuir, California for the 2010 Dunsmuir Railroad Days. Definitely a one of a kind type of train. The equipment pictured: UP 1983 (SD70ACe), WP 2001 (GP20) UP 1996 (SD70ACe), WP 925C (F9B), UP 951 (E9A), FRRX 5653 (WPRM baggage car), WP 841 (WP “Silver Plate” CZ Diner), UP 105 (1917 Pullman HW observation car), WP 64806 (50’ plug door boxcar), WP 6424 (gondola), UP 25732 (UP Caboose), UP 25283 (UP Caboose), and fittingly, the WP 484 (WP Bay Window Caboose).

…A spectacular shot…

Thank you all for your kind words, I’m glad you all enjoyed the photo. It’s not every day that we get to see museum moves, so I’m thankful I was able to get out and capture this one for everyone to see.

Thanks again,
