WPF 4/8/11

Thought I would start off it just a bit past midnight Eastern time. Here are a few from my town I am building still in the trying to find the “just right look.” Also, I am not sure why there is a clergyman standing on the ledge of the exotic car dealer… Did not have the Ferrari in stock?

Is it a machine gun I’m seeing sticking out under the coat of the guy on the roof? OMG! It’s the Rambo in disguise!

I have finally finished some more freight cars and can post their pictures this month!

This is a Stewart 14 Panel Hopper Car, Painted Black and Lettered with Herald King Decals.

This is a Front Range Riveted Side ACF Double Door 50’ Boxcar. The prototype is an ex-NKP boxcar that was repainted and renumbered by the N&W by adding a 2 to the NKP Number. Painted boxcar red with Champ Decals.

I am doing the NKP boxcar in the same class and it should be finished soon.

For you Great Northern Guys, an Intermountain 50’ PS1 with Cushion Underframe added and painted with my forumula of Jade Green & BN Green Mix for Glacier Green. Car Lettered with MicroScale Decals.

Thanks for Looking!

This is a Burrus Livery from Guts, Gravel & Glory I put together for a friend. It was made out of plaster which was a first for me. I added the shingles - thought it made it look better.

Great work so far all.

Well I can definitely say I’ve earned my stripes with this loco. right after I finished the lettering, my hobby knife fell, I jerked my arm down as a reflex and wound up stabbing myself in the thigh. Thankfully it didn’t need stitches!

Very nice work, everybody!

Here is a little scene I put together while in a creative mood.

Southern switcher on it’s way to work the job at Flannigans Furniture.

Jarrell

Jarrell … I like that scene. It helps me to recall seeing the Southern in action years ago…

The fence is in. Now I need to muddy up the ground a little and add some more vegetation.

PRR T1 5506 up on the fillPRR 5506 Eastbound up on the fill. My 11 year old son John chose this for his birthday a year ago, and I was a little worried it wouldn’t handle our curves, but it runs great!

Alcos in the fog. DJ.

By a long stretch, if this is a model, it is the best scene I have ever seen. I’ve been trying to determine any way that it is. Absolutely fantastic.[Y]

Referring to Jeffrey’s

Switcher at work this past week.

After a lot of saying I would, I finally broke down and weathered my first freight car. Here’s my mandatory newbie rustbucket. Only half of it is finished, but I wanted to show it off.

Nope, that one is real. I took that photo on the east side of the KCS yard about a quarter mile from the Museum of West Louisiana.
