WPF february 06-07

Hi,

Happy to be back again whith this WPF post.

I just finished painting the kitbash Walthers ice house in Nscale, I show it under construction in WPF fifteen days ago.

The platforms are underway too; painted but need some work; I will show you when finished.

As usual I work on differents projects during the same time. I did’nt like to wait between drying time; so I have also build during this period a Walthers ash pit but whith a modified house to give her a somewhat less modern look; don’t know if it’s prototypical but I like the look.

I also publish a pic about a scratchbuild columns which will be the sustains of the floor of a big station for Corinnesburgh, my next big project structure.

Hope to see your projects too.

Good weekend from Belgium.

Wolfgang

Hi Wolfgang,

Great work for the mine, stuff I want to use in the small Appalachian town I will put on the expand of my layout.

Also funny to see this post open by European modelers…[C):-)]

Marc

Nice!!!

I don’t have any photos to post as yet this week, but I have made progress on a couple of structures- Getting my DPM kits together for Downtown Penneburgh… One of these days I’ll have to start painting…

Nice work Marc.

Looks like WPF is off to a good start.

Traffic lights installed and working. Fascia painted. Lots and lots of details yet to be added…

Mikelhh - that picture is spectacular. LOVE the detail. You can feel the chill in the air by just looking at it.

Finished a hydrocal stone wall for my church scene underway. So here’s before, during and after. Still have 2 more to make…

Super pics so far guys! With all the modelers here in the mid-atlantic I imagine this thread will have plenty of action while the nor’easter nails us!

Matt

On the learning path

but I’m slowly coming along… [:D]

and it’s been fun!

Jarrell

Some people just have amazing talent. [bow]

Very nice work.

Marc … thanks for the early start with Weekend Photo Fun. (It must be Early Friday Moring Photo Fun!) [:D] … I really like your work on the icehouse !!!

Jarrel … I enjoyed you photos … both the turntable shot and the humorous shot!

Wolfgang, Driline, Mikelhh, pj1775, and Matt … Great work!

Here are shots of some activity on my layout yesterday. The Doodlebug is arriving in Valley Heights, and the Alco S2 is switching at the meat packing plant in Blackhawk.

A great looking WPF as usual!!!

I haven’t posted in awhile, so I will catch everybody up.

Started on a shipping company. Still got to add some details.

Added a swamp, but I still gotta work on that.

And…I started to make some small boxes (for the shipping company, and other areas of the layout). I want to improve them as well.

Kinda seems like I have a pattern going [:-^] .

Great work, everyone.

East bound local crossing Stoney Creek.

Beautiful work Grampy! As usual, I have a couple of questions… how did you do the top section (horizontal) of the bridge between the edge and the ballast , I like it! And, are most of the foreground trees Super Trees?

Jarrell

Thanks, jarrell. If I understand your question, the bridge is a cut down foam tunnel portal and I kept the top a little higher than the roadbed and yes, most of those are Super Trees. DJ.

Working on a new section… From Elkins, West Virginia looking east.

Sorry about the phone camera shot… My Canon power shot is… well… shot.

Offlinemikelhh, Great picture. Reminds me too much of home though, as that’s how it looks out my window right now. I love your photo background.

I haven’t done too much this week, other than plant some Silflor flowers

and a couple of JTT trees (from the MRC free deal)

and a second attempt at weathering a freight car.

Practice, practice, practice!

Ok, thanks!

Jarrell
