Hey everyone, this is my first of hopefully many posts here. I recently purchased the Woodland Scenics Grand Valley HO kit and I am in the process of laying down the foam roadbed on the risers. The instructions say to use the foam tack glue that came with the kit.
My question to you all is what should the consistency of this be? It feels like it may have settled a bit. I shook the bottle quite a bit but it still takes a lot of work to squeeze some out and the conistency is more of a caulky/paste then a thick white glue. Is this how it is supposed to be? I have never used this stuff before so I am just curious.
I like you first tried the WS foam tack glue from a WS kit. The foam tack glue is quite thick, almost like caulk. So much so that I stopped using it and switched to the cheap clear caulk from Home Depot and can’t tell the difference. I’d use up the faom tack glue that you have and give the caulk a try. It’s cheaper and I can’t tell the difference. Good luck.
I tried the high temp hot glue from my glue gun and it melted the foam and settled into the depression of melted foam. If you use a glue gun do it the “Woodman” way and use low temp only.
