Wyandotte Coal Loader and Hafner Windup Train

I somehow stumbled onto this old tin lithographed toy Coal Loader made by Wyandotte (perhaps in the 1940’s - 1960’s timeframe). Although it doesn’t seem to have been marketed as a toy train accessory, it works perfectly with my Marx and Hafner windup and electric trains. It is a very clever mechanism that automatically loads marbles into trucks or freight gondolas.

Here is a video of all the loading action.

Dsmith - that is COOL!

older the better for me love it

Boy, that is great! I am always looking for tinplate like that.

Wow!Look how clever the engineering is on that thing s!Simple mechanism that works more reliably than the electro mechanical units made by Lionel and others.
