Xmas layout pics

Better late than never I guess…this is our first layout. It took me about six months to clean up & refurbish my wife’s Dads old Postwar trains and another five months to build the layout. The board is 9’ X 4’ with a 3’ X 2’ “L” on one end. We’re planning to leave it up sans the tree & snow village. Would like to add an elevated loop with mountain/tunnel for next year.

I really enjoy these pics. Brought back memories as I must have built a dozen layouts like this (complete with that brick paper) in my youth. Nice track plan; you got the most run without looking like spaghetti. Thanks for sharing.

Very nice, Rich.

Thanks for sharing.

Chuck

Nice layout. I really like the separate control panel! Might have to copy that.

Charlie

Rich,

Nice work.

Jim

Very well done! Thanks for sharing!

Great pics and the Plasticville items rock.[8D]

Looks great, like the brick paper. Is that 2026 loco?

Good eye! Yes, that is a 1949 2026. That loco and the 622 are the “stars” of the inherited trains. The farmhouse, barn, church, station, and several of the accessories are from my wife’s childhood.

Thank you all for the kind words. I have to credit the CTT forum & a lot of it’s members for their help & inspiration.

Charlie, here’s another pic of the control panel.

Great Pics Everyone. I am going to try and post a few from ours last year…Here goes nothin

Some real nice pics there you all. Never get even close to that here as wife has too much furniture in this house lol.

Found a few more…

All of these photos were taken Christmas 2007. Unfortunately, We did not have enough time this year to complete something big, so 2008 was pretty low-key. We are hoping to expand a little for 2009.

**Rich and Joe…**exceptional Christmas layouts!

**RT…**My wife must be related to yours. At Christmas I have to move some of the furniture into the basement.
