I received the December 2009 CTT in the mail today. It is the special holiday issue, my favorite issue every year.
I’ve just glanced through it, but it looks fantastic. 3 holiday articles, including NYC Fan’s great Christmas layout, a weekend workshop for holiday trains, and photos of reader’s Christmas layouts.
Just wanted the CTT folks know how much I appreciate all the work that goes into a Christmas magazine issue. Thanks. [:)]
received mine too so opened front page looked at the 3 new offerings from atlas nice looking engines so I really would like the noinu cificap 2202 as it would be a very collectible item don’t ya think? I wondered if anyone else caught this? have a great day all [oops]
What a great issue! Put me in the mood for the holidays. Appreciated the heads-up on the PC logo … Will you be reviewing the Lionelville movie? It looks like fun
Received mine yesterday as well. I scanned some of the articles, and really enjoyed the photo section. There are some impressive looking layouts in the issue as well. Glad to see the page count back up to 100, and some nice ads from Lionel, Bachmann and Atlas O.
I haven’t received my December issue yet. I look forward to the December issue.
A reader on the OGR forum stated:
“I just received my December 2009 copy of CTT and in the front cover is an ad for the new 2009 Industrial Rail Train sets. It was printed with a reversed copy reading cificaP noinU Looks like it was photographed in a mirror.”
Then another reader reported:
“My copy has Union Pacific printed correctly. In fact, all print on that page is correct.”
Was a correction made during the printing process?
Got mine yesterday. Great job again guys. Have read upto the Underground. Really enjoy the expanded photo section. Looking forward to the rest. For those AF Royal Blue fans, the back has a nice article. I can’t see how a 1950s style layout would not have a place in CTT? Perhaps if we put in a few requests?
I also thought this issue was great. Since I’m a 1:43 car nut, I appreciated the quality of the cars used on “the Port of NY &NJ” layout, as well as the scenics in general.
Received my CTT today. Looks good. Already read the letters to the editor and after meeting Carl, I know tongue in cheek when I read it. Do you guys at CTT always have that much fun???
I saw this thread and then looked at the stack of mail that I had and lo and behold, it was there! I really like the toy train style layouts and I thought that the idea of the fastrack as an alternative was a great idea.
