Im so happy! I saw my first amtrak train! But, it was weird. It had what was an F40 with baggage car doors and it had a P42 on the back. Is this some kind of cab control car?[:0]

Cool Beans. You should come over to my area Philadelphia. I see way too many Amtrak power over here. I’m only about 15 mins from the NEC. I see Amtrak so much, that I get sick of seeing it all the time. I see it evey day but, it’s better than seeing no train at all. LOL.
The last time I saw an Amtrak train was in July, the Carolinian not far from the Raleigh station, was moving quite fast though.
they would have Amtrak in Augusta,GA no the ns to Columbia but,CSX would not let some people (that I forgot who) not look in there yard.It would have been easier to go to hockey games that way.

it was in norman oklahoma at about 9:30 last night. It was the exact same engine in the link
I got to go in the cab of the exact same thing, except it was on the downeaster, from portland to boston. they would have let me see the P42 end but there was an engineer in training. also, a few days later, I saw more trains than I’ve ever seen in my life, all guilford and amtrak[:D]

Amtrak always runs a locomotive on both sides up here to Vancouver, push-pull service too, I would imagine.
