Very funny
O.K., Who has the courage to email him and ask if any of those animals have engineer caps or overalls !?
As one who is recently divorced, I can relate only too well to that entire website. Mine managed to take every box of beanie babies, but she didn’t get a single train or tool. Thank God for small favors. [swg]
P.S. I’ve bookmarked that site for further reading.

A few months back I stopped by a garage sale featuring a huge amount of Star Wars collectables: Micro Machines, books, assorted figures and toys of all sorts. The young woman hosting the yard sale didn’t look like your typical SF fan–she mentioned that the stuff had belonged to an ex-boyfriend who was quite the collector. I didn’t buy anything, despite the urge to buy some of the Micro Machines minis, which were about HO scale–it would be amusing to have an HO scale Greedo sitting in a model railroad scene.
The beanie baby site was humorous. Luckily, I don’t have to worry about my wife selling my HO collection on ebay or an average garage sale as we are very happily married. She does know that brass locomotives and rolling stock cost more than plastic models, and other generic knowledge about the hobby.
OK, I will admit…I hardly take her with me to the LHS or model train shows because she uses the [:0] “C” word (CUTE) in describing model trains.
Oh well, that’s something I can live with
Take care,
Russell

I keep looking for the exact opposite!
Picture this ad:[;)]
Model Trains: Ho Guage Model trains. Large box found in attic of former husband’s model trains. All models in individual boxes with foam inserts, some train engines have shiny golden color, some painted. Selling as a complete case of trains only, don’t know if trains run or not. 1st $100.00 takes all!
I check the classified ads every day,… maybe… someday…
Unfortunately beanie babies are done along with Pokemon cards. A friend of mine bought a beanie baby the other day on eBay for 16 cents and then paid $4 for shipping. Go figure.
Got to agree about the shipping thing on eBay. Kills many a good looking item for me. Thenif it gets held up in customs all the rest of the fun just evaporates[:(!]
I’ve seen this listing before when it was actually on e-bay, I’m pretty sure this was the same guy as the “drunken sailor”. You would pay him I think it was a dollar, and he would give you this certificate, that was the auction item, and then he would take the money to the local pub, buy himself a beer, and toast it to you. He said what ever money he had left over would be spent on power tools at home depot, just like this ad. It was a awfully funny ad, I rolled on the floor I was laughing so hard. It was the way he would phrase the way he said things, it was really funny .

[:)]That one was cool, when my first wife and I divorced, she wanted for me to sell all my "O"scale railroad, because I had sold my HO,and converted it into O scale.Well needless to say,I still have my "O"scale stuff.[:)]
E-Bay is like a licenced black market at times. I wonder if Sadam attempted to aquire weapons of mass destruction on it. Wouldn’t doubt it. My aunt uses E-Bay alot and swears by it; I sometimes swear at it.[:D]
It would be just as funny to come across a garage sale and see brass locomotives, rolling stock, and building kits in a large box marked “This box $50.00.”
Cash ONLY [:D]
Take care,
Russell
