Yes, Virginia, There is LGB at the North Pole

This is cool- almost frozen!
Go to www.lgboa.com and click on NEWS.

I really, really hate to do this, but:

Frank is a customer of NWRCS, and that loco has RCS Remote Control in it, and Ni-Cad batteries.

I’ve ben waiting for the announcement.

When I click on the link it comes up as non-available.
Is this because the content is complete bollocks or really does’nt exist ?

Hi Dave,

I’m surprised he didn’t go for LGB-MTS.[;)][}:)][:)][:o)][:o)]

Troy, Troy, Troy!!

It is simply a matter that Jack Lynch only remembered part of the www.lgboa.com URL. It’s like not remembering your phone number because you never call yourself at home,[;)][:)][;)] after all Jack Lynch (Bucksco) is the Marketing Manager at LGBoA.

BTW while we’re on the “Nice PR Stunt”; I’m just waiting for Ian to take a circle of track to Uluru aka Ayer’s Rock, do the climb and set up the train with solar panels.[8D][:)][:D][:D][}:)]

Let’s see, just so I understand…
LGB MTS, and there are no wires from the ship to the track.
Exactly how does that work?

Dave,

It isn’t “how does”, it is “how would” i.e. it would be one “very cool setup” at the North Pole with the headline “MTS meets the North Pole, electrons running in a very tight circle”.

To the best of my knowledge, running a train at the North Pole is a first for Large Scale and RCS is part of it.

If anyone is interested in converting locomotives to battery R/C maybe they should ask why RCS was chosen to be part of it.

Hi Tony,

There are enough people here who are generally interested that it would be worthwhile to list the reasons.

Of course that is just my opinion.[;)][:)][;)]

PS did you read my idea about Ayer’s Rock??[;)][}:)][:)][:)]

Just so ya know, this was posted at MLS:

Hello All, I am the North Pole Engineer. I did tell LGB that RSC was installed in the engine. I also told them a lot more about the whole thing. They only put in a little bit of what I told them.
I did this because I love toy trains. It is a great hobby and it is meant to be fun. I had full support and backing of the Command and crew of the CGC Healy. I am glad there are so many people that have enjoyed this story.

Hey Dave,

Hmmmmmmmmm, thank you!!!

Is it possible that LGB works strictly on a “need to know” basis? As in: what the customer needs to know is that it is a LGB train at the North Pole.

As once before today “C’est la vie”, but it would have looked a whole lot better if the part about RCS would have been mentioned.
Of course we won’t be “negative” about that, right?!?[;)][:)][;)]

Nah.
If we are, the High Priest of LGB resident on this Forum will castigate us regarding our idiot status.
