Yet another rare visitor to Eola yard today.

Today we had yet another very rare visitor to the BNSF Eola Yard in Aurora, IL. An eastbound train of coal loads came into the “east” yard (presumably headed for the EJ&E main line) powered by BNSF 5888 and our rare visitor as the trailing unit…CEFX 132, an EMD SD9043MAC pictured below (photos by other railfans and not of today’s train):

Train was in Neenah, WI on the CN/WC this morning waiting for us to clear up in the siding.

Why did you take the pic from the dark side? It looks like the sun was out…

Just wandering… Thanks for sharing

Jim - I have him on my list of sightings here. Don’t know when, but a lot of the CEFX do make it through our yards.

As noted in my original post, the picture of the SD9043MAC was NOT taken by me but by another railfan at another time and location and I simply borrowed it for illustrative purposes…so I can not answer your question.

OK,

I guess it makes sence now that you "splained it…Thanks,
