You can tell ,Christmas is almost here when.......

Hello all,

Searching E-bay,on a daily basis for all types of goodies. I recently came across six…yes six walthers rotary dumpers. Not to mention, a few walthers bascule bridges.
This time of year, model railroaders lose their minds. My wife just bought me a walthers coal floodloader, and after that I found even more train stuff on e-bay. The model train bug,has infected me in a real bad way.
To bad, the monthly bills out weight the model train finances this month. If the money was right, there would be a new rotary dumper and a bascule bridge in the mix.

The topics on this forum remind you, “you’ve only got X number of days of Christmas shopping!”[|(]

If life weren’t like that, you wouldn’t need…need I say more

I start putting pictures of the trains I want on the fridge, and on mirrors, and in car windows. my parents go crazy when I do that. HEHEHEHE!!

Thanx for the Idea!!! [:D]

I just did a little Ebay Christmas shopping myself this morning. Snipped me a TH&B GP7 and 2 Quebec & North Shore loco’s, a GP7 and a GP9. I really like Christmas shopping, lolol.

I’ve got one of those rotary dumpers already - when one showed up in the LHS a couple years ago, I immediately called my wife.

And indeed, it showed up under the Christmas tree.

Perhaps in a year or two my layout will reach the point where I can actually build the thing.

Finally found out what a coal flood loader is, found a photo of one in walters book, and of course, it’s out of stock and retired.

Let it snow let it snow, let it snow…I’ve got my trains to keep me warm !

You can tell Christmas is almost here…when all the stores start advertising products for SPRING ! !

There`s always too much month left at the end of the money. lol lol.

Yeah, tmee man.
You know it’s christmas when your parents give you a sheet of paper saying “What trains I want for Christmas” This happened today, and I’ve already got over $2000 worth on it!
And engine driver, welcome to the forum!
Matthew

You can tell Christmas is almost here when you have to keep reminding family and friends that you really prefer to buy your own equipment for your 1925 steam era layout. Then spend hours practicing the surprised and very pleased look, “Oh wow! A Bachmann 52’ center-depressed flat car with a missile on it. Won’t that look great right behing the mogul!” Or, “Gee, how nice a Conrail 50’ boxcar!”

The fun part of course is keeping straight who gave you what so whenever they happen by you can have those items ready to roll on the layout tour. “Oh look, see, I knew that Intermodal car would be just the thing for your toy train thingy stuff.” [;)]

All the rail clubs in the area have their open houses…

You know Christmas is only a few months away when the March of next year issues for magazines show up. Oh yeah, Easter stuff starts lining the shelves at various retail establishments.

[#welcome][#welcome][#welcome][#welcome]to the forum engine driver!!!
