I have about 20 of these jewels and really don’t know what to do with them. On the packaging it states that these linkages can be used with either N or HO scale. A little old school for me and I haven’t found any info on E-bay,that is no ones selling these at the moment.
Have you ever heard of these and are they really usable ?

Yes I have used them. Today items like Tortise switch machines have replaced the need for them. You drilled a hole next to the turnout so the screw would go vertically into the throwbar. You could then mount your solenoid type switch machine at any convenient location since you could adjust the bottom link through a 360 degree arc by loosening the screw, turning it and retightening the screw on the link. Very easy to install and adjust but dated at this point.
Arvid Anderson of Fredrick, WI had a line of hobby products in the 60’s. He had turnout kits, the switch linkage, wood structure kits, and even brass O gauge freight cars kits through the years. The turnouts and turnout links were bought by others and may still be available. The turnouts were originally made by Earl Eshelman(sp?) and picked up by Arvid. Back in the late 60’s I would see him as he came into Mpls/St Paul to buy materials and would stop in at one of the LHS’s for lunch.

Yea I am very familer with this puppies. I made a rig to install them. After you drill the hole out side the rails push in the tube. Take a peice of wood about 1/2x1/2x2" and screw it down tight. The goal here is so the tube does not move when you are pushing up from underneath. Now dive underneath and use a small sockit wrench to push up the tiniman nut tight to the board.
