You never know what you will see on the news

I watched the NBC Nightly News tonight. They did a news story on a small town that was hit by one of the “canes”. During the first few seconds of the story they did a wide shot of the town, and just for a second I noticed a boxcar in the lower part of the screen. It appeared to be a Frisco boxcar as it showed what looked like the Frisco coonskin. If this is so, that boxcar has survived 25 years under BN and BNSF control in its original paint scheme. It is too bad that railroads ru***o repaint the locos of the railroad they merge. But it is nice to see “things” have made it 25 years, even if it is just a boxcar.

See them down here all the time, the tan box with the Coonskin in black, with Frisco in the logo…will see if I can snap a photo for you next time…

…I watched that newcast too and was appalled to see now almost forgotten lives that have been shattered in the smaller communities with the same damage as the larger areas…and some people still without help…So tragic…I believe we {the whole country have contributed money adequate to get these people some help but somehow the system gets broken down and the resources don’t get to the outreach places such as depicted on this newscast this evening…What a terrible sad condition.
