You think you've got problems?

From the Reuters newswire (on Yahoo Slideshows)

Workers walk on a flooded railroad at the Tanah Abang train station in Jakarta February 2, 2007. Torrential rain triggered floods in the Indonesian capital on Friday, blocking roads and trapping residents in their homes as torrents of muddy water reached a depth of 2 metres (6.7 ft), police and witnesses said. They should really turn on their sump pump.

Or maybe a little garden hose pump could take care of that too, for that matter.

I really don’t think that water is good for those roller bearings.

Doesn’t do much good for the traction motors, either. Yuck!

Yeah, it’s amazing how a locomotive can be in a huge wreck and be rebuilt, but, the locomotive sits in some water for a little while and it’s ruined.

Not ruined in the same sense. All of those flooded locomotives can probably be pulled out, have the motors replaced (and perhaps the old ones can be rebuilt), the fuel tank cleaned if necessary, and they should be fine.
