My favorite was New York Central Railroad, which includes the ole Michigan Central in which I rode a lot on the Big Four from Detroit, Michigan to Urbana,Ohio on the Ohio Special, the return was Michigan Special,as well as the daylight Ponce De Leon to the same destination and back. The Chicago Mercury,Twightlight Limited,The Wolverione,Empire State Express and much more when I was very young back in the late forties and early fifties too. I really miss those trains.[:)]
Ya cant go wrong with those glorious Warbonnet F3’s
Santa Fe
The Gainsville Midline - Small, Poor, last to run steam in GA, but Proud of its decapods that it owned with appologies to no one. You can see one of then in Seaboard (SAL) livery at the North Carolina Transportatioon Museum in Spencer NC.
THE PENNSYLVANIA RAILROAD ONE OF THE WORLDS LARGEST RAILROADS EVER.
THE BALTIMORE AND OHIO ONE OF AMERICAS FIRST IF NOT THE FIRST RAILROAD IN AMERICA.
I picked BNSF because I love there paint schemes, and I also herd BNSF treats their employees very well.
YOU LEFT OUT PENNSY! HOW COULD YOU?! Oh well, other takes care of it.

Yes CSX does rule - the outhouse.
I got to love the BNSF. I live in BNSF territory in the town that has the Classification Headquarters in Galesburg, IL. But I also loved the BN as well so to take it to the modern time I said BNSF. I love BNSF H2 scheme. Granted i miss the old BN green but you know what they say Out with old and in with new.

[:0][:0][:0][:0][:0] Only ONE vote for Southern Pacific? I can’t believe it! [:0][:0][:0][:0][:0]
I have many favorites from the CNW,MILWAUKEE ROAD,SOUTHERN,SOUTHERN PACIFIC,SANTA FE,WP,CHESSIE,CSX,NS,BNSF,BN,and many of the fallen flag railroads, though I still do not like the UP. Who wants to have them as a fav, when all they seem to care about is how a product with their logo is used and all they seem to care about is a profit from it!!!
Wow everyone watch this a CNW guy and a Rock guy are going to agree(amen CNWFAN11)Give me the Rock Island,Milwaukee Road and yes even those Northwestern guys of the past.Today give me KCS!Living proof you dont have to merge!HEHEHE Give em Hell Mike Haverty! [}:)][}:)][}:)]
I voted for the BNSF bacause it is current and who’s first Northern transcontenintal

You cant go wrong with a blue engine[:D]
I’m with you 110%! [:)]
I like CSX because they have interesting trains, they have cool juctions and the have really freak’n long intermodal trains. It is not unusual apparently for CSX to run 200 car long intermodals! (that includes the articulated sections of well and spine cars)
CN has been running some really long intermodal trains out of Roberts Bank…
I think the longest was somewhere around 14000 feet.
I know I often see them hitting 140, 150 cars on a normal day… can take a long time when they are passing by at 20 Miles an hour… [:)]
CSX IS MY FAVORITE FOR A CHANGE! ACCORDING TO CBQ_Guy I SHOULD NOT SAY “RULES”!
FELLOW RAILFAN,
UNION PACIFIC RULES
