your layout setting... (poll)

What is the setting of your layout?

Mine will be in the Eastern U.S. (PA, NJ,MA,NY,VA,DE)g

Thats what I try to keep to.

I one day, want to build a layout that All Lehigh Valley, and model a specific line.

One day I want to model a section of the Port of Houston. This all depends on the amount of space I have to work with. I am in the garage now. I hope to build a large metal building in the back yard one day. Yeah like when I win the lottery.

Living room rug.

My setting is the garage.

Wait, that’s not what you mean, is it?!

Mine is nowhere, just Lionelville style.

The layout is in a converted bedroom and represents the Applachia (sp?) mountains.

The Future.

I’m planning a layout that will be set in New England. Aside from a station and a scant few other buildings, the majority of the layout will be just natural scenery. Too often, layouts are cluttered with too many structures, which I think detracts from the train. Watching our trains cruise around an almost unpopulated countryside appeals to me.

Good question, I don’t really know yet - it has a seascape and a pond, a farm, airport, snow-bound village, and now hills and mountains…

Mine is set in the wonderful world of Tinplateland, located somewhere near Lionelville and Plasticville.

A truly bizarre blend of industrialized areas of NW Ohio, Detroit, Chicago, and somewhere in Europe…along with a touch of another world…possibly the underworld.

My new/ in-progress 5x8 layout is 1950’s, as is my Xmas 6x4 table layout I’ve been putting-up for the past 20 years. Lots of good quality 1947-50’s era cars in both (most gotten from diecastdirect.com and some Franklin Mint from eBay). I was born in 1942, so I remember this time period. Joe

Err, Garage.

16’ x 6’ table top with indoor/outdoor carpet. Lionelville, Buildings (some mth) and operating accesories . Setting is whatever engines I happen to be running.
