Your Layout size.

Hi!

Our O27 Postwar layout is 14’ x 8’ with 3 tracks and our HO layout is 6’ x 6’ with 2 tracks. The larger is traditional toy with Plasticville. The HO is scenic.

Both are on a second floor loft. Wish we had a basement with more room but here in Florida there “ain’t no such thing” (unless we were running submarines!)

Thanks for asking.

I am setting up a new layout and am going to go with an 8 foot by 8 foot with an extension into the closet area of about 2 feet by 4 feet. I will be using 031, 042 and even some 027 track. Tried Fastrack and will not use it again, too expensive & too fragile to use. I have done O gauge for many years and have found tubular to be best. Gargrvaes and Ross switches is what I will try to use on my new layout except for the second level as that will be mainly 027 with some Gargraves track and switches.
