What are you interest as it goes in O? Or trains in general?

I’m 18 right now. My primary interest is collecting and operating prewar and postwar toy trains (modern era stuff doesn’t really interest me too much), but I also have a lot of HO as well. My O and S gauge trains and accessories are set up on a large U-shaped traditional tinplate green carpet layout. The majority of my stuff is Lionel, American Flyer and Marx, but I love trains by the various smaller and foreign manufacturers and a large portion of my collection is devoted to them. I like having a varied collection that is able to showcase the history of vintage toy trains as a whole, rather than that of just one or two manufacturers. Besides American-made trains, I have trains from Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Great Britain, France, West Germany, East Germany, Czechoslovakia, Italy, Denmark, USSR and Japan. To quote Elliot, “If it has flanged wheels, I like it!”

My son would post if he could type. He is 5.
We were in a train store the other evening and there was a blue comet set up there. My son asks the store owner what train is that. The man says thats a passenger train sonny. My son says “I know that I meant what LINE. I like Pennsylvania Rail Road.”
Since I can remember, i’ve been toying with model railroads, i’m Eric. Born 3-29-89, and my father died in '96.
earliest i remember me doing model railroading was with HO scales , back in about 92 or 93, i believe. last night , i got a bunch of old 50s-60’s lionel o-gauge trains that were my dads when he was a little boy, and i’m trying to find out as much as i can about them.

I used to like HO, but It became to much. Its so annoying with the stupid couplers on the tracks and the cork. Thats why I switched to O gauge.
The only thing I like about HO is the price! ! ! ! !
