Zephyr question

Is there a way to select two addresses without going to “loco” and re entering the second address? I run one loco on the mainline and a switcher in the yard. I find it frustrating to re enter tha address every time I want to change locos. I have a DT400 that allows me to do this but I wonder if it can be done with only the Zephyr.

The Zephyr has no ‘recall’ function like the DT series of controllers.

Bruce,
While there is no recall ability in the Zephyr throttle, you do have the option of using one of the jump ports. Get a variable DC throttle pack (like an MRC Tech II or something like that), and wire it into a jump port on the back of the Z.

Use the jump button to cycle through the throttles. If you have no dot in the LED display under “Jump”, then you’re using the Z’s throttle/display. If there is a dot there, then you’re using Jump #1. If the dot is flashing, you’re using Jump #2. Select an address for the Z’s throttle, then hit the jump button and select an addess for Jump #1. Both of these throttles can now be operated at the same time without having to switch back and forth. The only time you’d need to switch back from Z to a jump port is to operate functions or to change addresses.

Jump port is a good solution. I have two old MRC’s running beside my Zephyr which makes scenarios like the one you describe a breeze.
