Hi Guys!
I wonder if someone have tested the ZIMO DCC system? Please tell me what you think about it.
Hi Guys!

I’m not using the system but I’m a long time user ofd their decoders.
All my German and US engines run the MX620 (older ones with the MX62) or MX63 if the current exceeds 800mA. They fit P2K and Atlas motors very well. They run very smooth and silent.
The firmware can be updated easy with a simple interface.
From what I know Zimo is the Rolls Royce of systems and far more advanced than most others. There system will tell you where every engine is when you ask. Pricey due to import taxes. Sometimes hard to get components. Check Tony’s train exchange for his analysis.
Their control system is very pricy. However, I am thinking about using there decoders as they appear to be the first decoders with both Railcom and sound.
ELECTROLOVE! I’VE MISSED YOU! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN HIDING! I WAS AFRAID YOU’D WANDERED OUT ONTO THE ICE ON THE BALTIC AND WENT UNDER WITH THE SPRING THAW!
By the way, how’s that twenty-five level layout coming along???
Electrolove - thanks for posting the Zimo link. Like many others here I had always discounted using Zimo products because of the price - I guess its you get what you pay for, as they always seem to have loads of features.
What I am quite excited about however is their new sound decoder - it appears to be another 16 bit processor like the Soundtraxx Tsunami. It will be really interesting to see how this matches up - maybe we will have a 16 bit diesel sounds sooner than we thought …
